My screenprinting studio and "real" job are connected, so they might as well share the same digital real estate, right?
Currently, I am the Head of Content at Monotype, the global leader in type and type technology. My professional work informs my studio work and vice versa, and my time at Monotype has introduced me to countless brilliant creatives who impacted and influenced me as a writer, printer, and creative.
Here are some of my favorite projects from my ~9 years with Monotype. Thanks for reading!

TYPE TRENDS.
Each year, Monotype publishes a trends report highlighting major shifts in design thinking and celebrating standout projects from the previous 12 months. I've had the privilege of working on all of them, initially as the primary writer and lately in a more directional, editorial, and strategic role.
Our trends report is always the centerpiece of a major multi-channel campaign that includes a webinar, podcast episodes, social content, PR, and paid media. My team and I are responsible for most of this content.
Our latest edition is subtitled Re:Vision and seeks to pivot away from hindsight and curation and toward the future. The report is built around six themes, each of which will have its own launch throughout the year. The first, Sound & Vision, is out now. I wrote the central essay and provided creative copy direction throughout.
HELVETICA NOW.
Monotype redrew one of the most influential typefaces of all time - Helvetica - modernizing it for the digital age and adding new styles, details, and surprises. I was the primary writer for all things Helvetica Now, including the script for our award-winning video. This article, written to accompany the launch, remains one of my favorites.
CREATIVE CHARACTERS.
A colleague and I launched the Creative Characters podcast in 2021. We had no idea what we were doing, but have since published almost 90 episodes across 4+ seasons featuring some of the biggest names in graphic design, type design, and branding. I have personally hosted about a dozen episodes, including interviews with some of my design and creative idols.
